In a free society educators are expected to teach students "how" to think for themselves, not "what" they should think, and should be held to this high standard of academic freedom.
To this end, a "Students Right To Know" what their instructors academic backgrounds, religious and philosophical beliefs are gives the students a basis for evaluating their instructors positions on any given subject.
